- Let the child stop eating when they appear to be full. Never force a child to eat
- Do not let your baby suck or drink their food too often. This can make the stomach work harder causing frequent hunger and excessive eating
- Do not rush or hurry the child to eat. Teach him to chew food slowly and chew thoroughly
- Adjust the method of cooking, such as from fried to boiling, baking or steaming instead to reduce energy intake from excess fat.
- Do not let children eat sweets or crunchy snacks that are high in fat and sodium
- Choose foods with fiber. The baby will be full longer, such as brown rice, green leafy vegetables, millet (boiled/crushed).
